Woman reported missing on New Year’s Day in KC found deceased

Police in Kansas City, Missouri are currently conducting an investigation into the tragic death of a missing woman. The woman, who had disappeared on New Year’s Day, was discovered on Thursday afternoon, having been fatally shot.

At around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 1, Brandi Crout, a 48-year-old woman, went missing from the vicinity of 45th Terrace and Willow Avenue in Kansas City. She was last seen driving her black 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe with Missouri license plate “EH7-V9E,” according to the Kansas City Police Department.

A tragic incident unfolded in Kansas City’s Northland on Thursday night, resulting in the devastating loss of two children and a man who were shot and killed.

The Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) has confirmed that a shooting took place, resulting in Crout’s death. However, the circumstances leading up to the incident have not yet been determined. It is important to note that the case is currently being treated as an active crime scene, and the investigation is still ongoing.
