Three Accused in Burial Freezer Case to Face Court Tuesday

Court Hearings Set for Suspects in Oklahoma Murder Case of Two Kansas Women

Three of the five individuals charged in the deaths of two Kansas women found buried in a freezer are scheduled to appear in court Tuesday for preliminary hearings.

The case centers on the March disappearance of Veronica Butler and Jillian Kelley, who went missing during a planned child custody exchange. Their bodies were later discovered in a freezer that had been buried underground in a remote area of Oklahoma’s panhandle.

Among those set to appear in court is Tifany Adams, the grandmother of Butler’s children. Adams, along with co-defendants Tad Cullum and Cole Twombly, faces murder charges related to the incident. The hearings are slated to begin at 9 a.m.

Two additional suspects in the case had previously waived their rights to preliminary hearings in October. Their next court date is scheduled for February 19.

The shocking circumstances surrounding the murders have garnered national attention, particularly the link to the child custody exchange. Authorities conducted extensive search efforts in March, ultimately locating the victims’ remains in the buried freezer.

The disturbing details continue to unfold as the legal process moves forward, with the suspects facing significant charges in what has become a highly publicized case.
