Ashanti took to Instagram to express her thoughts on motherhood, acknowledging that life’s plans don’t always go according to schedule. With a touch of humor, she admitted that she had been eagerly waiting to become a mother for quite some time. However, she also recognized that nothing could fully prepare her for the multitude of experiences and challenges that come with being a mom.
Nelly and Ashanti have always been quite discreet about their relationship and personal milestones, including their recent marriage. The two talented singers, who were once a couple in the early 2000s before parting ways in 2013, found their way back to each other after a decade. Missouri records reveal that they exchanged vows on December 27, 2023, in a private ceremony.
Nelly made a surprise appearance at Machine Gun Kelly’s “MGK Day” performance in Cleveland, despite being recently arrested at a St. Louis casino. The arrest was related to a 2018 incident, and a warrant was issued in December 2023 after Nelly had won several jackpots at the Hollywood Casino in Maryland Heights. Pills believed to be ecstasy were discovered by officers during the arrest, but Nelly was detained only briefly before being released.
Nelly’s attorney, Scott Rosenblum, expressed dissatisfaction with the way the arrest was carried out. He pointed out that Nelly had no prior knowledge of the warrant and had consistently passed FBI checks for international travel. Rosenblum is optimistic that the case will not move forward and intends to seek an investigation into the officer’s behavior.
