SHEFFIELD — The athletic director at West Fork has submitted his immediate resignation after an investigation into inappropriate behavior with a student. West Fork superintendent Mike Kruger in a statement says the school district placed Alex Brayton on administrative leave for the remainder of the school year as an investigation continues and he will not be returning to the school district in any of his previous roles. Brayton had been athletic director, director of the school’s wellness center, as well as a head boys track and field coach. In a statement to West Fork families, Brayton admitted to texting a high school student about the student’s attractiveness, saying that was inappropriate for a person in his position, and he understands that this sort of behavior is not something that can be tolerated by the district. Current West Fork assistant principal Lance Thompson has been appointed the interim athletic director for the school district.

Paddack posted a 7-7 record with a 5.07 ERA in starting 22 of his 23 appearances. Rogers was selected to his first career American League All-Star team in 2021, going 2-4 with a 3.35 ERA.
