No new COVID-19-related deaths in north-central Iowa between Sunday and Monday

MASON CITY — No new COVID-19-related deaths were reported in north-central Iowa between Sunday and Monday, but the active case count rose in our listening area.

In the 24 hours leading up to 11 o’clock Monday morning, 36 new cases were identified in our listening area while 27 more people have recovered. That brings the active COVID case count in north-central Iowa up to 1877 from 1869 on Sunday.

In Cerro Gordo County, five new cases were reported while 11 more people have recovered, bringing the active case count down from 434 on Sunday to 428 on Monday.
