Mason City man charged with sexually abusing children in Floyd County

CHARLES CITY — A Mason City man has been jailed, accused of sexually abusing two children in Floyd County.

24-year-old Aaron Wells was charged this week with two counts of second-degree sexual abuse and two counts of lascivious acts with a child. A criminal complaint accuses Wells of abusing two children under the age of 10 while he lived in Floyd County between 2012 and 2013.

Wells is being held in the Floyd County Jail on a total of $70,000 bond and is due in court for his preliminary hearing on September 25th.

If convicted of all the charges, he faces up to 70 years in prison.
