Two College Students from Oklahoma Suspect They Were Given Drugs During Their Cancun Vacation

After vacationing in Cancun, two college students from Oklahoma returned to the United States with suspicions that they were drugged.

Kaylie Pitze, a college student, stated firmly that there is no other plausible explanation for it. According to her, two girls cannot simply collapse at the same moment.

One of them had to be flown to a hospital in Dallas after spending a significant amount on medical care in Mexico.

A group of friends, including two girls and their boyfriends along with another couple, arrived in Mexico on Thursday. The girls were thrilled and excited about the trip, as expressed by Pitze, when they took a picture on the beach.

On Friday, an unforeseeable event occurred, which has resulted in a decision to avoid any future travels outside the country.

On Friday, they made their way to the resort’s pool where they enjoyed a few drinks. However, their memory of the rest of the day is hazy after being served water.

Pitze recollects, “I just remember walking in the pool” as her last memory.

Hull recalled the moment stating, “The water was fizzing, and we were both completely knocked out at the pool bar.”

Pitze recalls being wheeled to their rooms in wheelchairs as they were unable to walk or talk. “We couldn’t do anything,” they added.

As Pitze woke up the next morning, opening their eyes proved to be a challenge. They felt extreme nausea and were unable to move due to the discomfort.

Upon hearing the news, Kaylie was informed that Zara had been urgently taken to the hospital and was experiencing seizures.

Hull recounted, “My stomach convulsions began, prompting them to call 911.” Pitze expressed gratitude, stating, “It feels great to be back home.”

Upon arrival at a Dallas airport on Monday, Kaylie Pitze and her boyfriend headed straight to a Texas hospital to reunite with her beloved best friend, Zara Hull. With open arms, Kaylie embraced Zara, grateful to finally be reunited after what must have felt like an eternity apart.

Zara Hull, a college student, expressed her fear and uncertainty about her future, saying, “It’s so scary because there are times when I wonder if I’m going to make it out of this.” Meanwhile, Pitze, upon arriving in America, shared her experience of having her body checked for any incisions to ensure that all her organs were intact.

According to her family, they had to pay tens of thousands of dollars for medical treatments and evacuation to the United States. The exact nature of these treatments remains unknown.

Rilee Works, who is Zara Hull’s mother, stated that the evacuation number currently stands at around $60,000.

A generous act was made by a family friend who covered the cost of a $28,000 medical flight.

After their harrowing experience, Zara and Kaylie are grateful to have made it back safely. However, they want to caution others about the potential dangers. “I feel incredibly blessed that so many people have reached out to us,” shared Hull. “It’s important to remember that this could happen to anyone,” added Pitze.

According to the girls, the doctors suspect that their drinks were spiked with synthetic fentanyl.
