On Monday night, several New Hampshire towns witnessed a police chase resulting in the arrest of four individuals.
A New Hampshire State Police trooper made an attempt to halt a 2011 Subaru Outback on Hall Street in Concord at around 11:30 p.m. on Monday. However, the driver of the vehicle declined to stop and instead drove away.
As the pursuit continued, the driver headed south on Route 3A and eventually reached the center of Bow. More troopers arrived at the scene and managed to use a tire deflation device on Robinson Road, causing two of the vehicle’s tires to deflate. Despite this setback, the driver didn’t stop and continued to flee towards Dunbarton, even with two flat tires.
As the vehicle crossed over to Goffstown, troopers were able to swiftly intercept it, deploying yet another tire deflation device which successfully deflated a third tire. Despite this, the vehicle continued to drive recklessly towards Manchester and Interstate 293, refusing to stop. It wasn’t until the driver finally pulled over on South Main Street in Manchester that troopers were able to apprehend both him and his three passengers.
According to the police, Michael Gruette, a 46-year-old resident of Center Barnstead, was the driver involved in the incident. He is facing charges of reckless driving, multiple counts of reckless conduct, disobeying an officer, and operating after suspension. In addition to these charges, Gruette was found to have outstanding warrants for his arrest in Concord.
State police have reported that the individuals in the car, whose identities have not been disclosed, had outstanding warrants for their arrest.
