Wetterling case --- Sheriff: Number of items seized in 2-day search
|
|
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Stearns County sheriff's officials say a number of items were seized in the two-day search of property near the site of Jacob Wetterling's abduction. The sheriff's office did not elaborate. Authorities say Friday that the items will require additional processing and analysis, and that could take several weeks or months. Officials have said they couldn't release details of their investigation. On Friday, they confirmed that the search of the property in St. Joseph was connected to Jacob's kidnapping. The 11-year-old was abducted by a masked gunman in 1989 and hasn't been seen since. There have been no arrests in the case. And there have been no arrests connected to this week's search. Officials wrapped up the search Thursday.
