Wichita Man Receives 24-Year Sentence in 2022 Double Homicide

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — One of two men charged in connection with the deaths of a couple living in a shed has been sentenced. Brandon Prouse Jr., 23, of Wichita, was sentenced to 290 months (24 years and 2 months) in prison.

In November, he reached a plea agreement, pleading guilty to aggravated robbery. The judge imposed a sentence of 216 months for the robbery charge and an additional 74 months for violating probation related to two prior offenses.

Prouse had originally faced two counts of first-degree murder in the February 13, 2022, shooting deaths of Bonnie Galloway, 38, and Connor O’Callaghan, 30.

The victims were living in a shed in the 2200 block of S. Erie St. when they were killed. Prouse and another man, Justin Macormac, were arrested and charged in connection with the crime.

In September, Macormac was sentenced to life in prison, with the possibility of parole after 853 months (71 years and 1 month).

He pleaded guilty to first-degree murder, voluntary manslaughter, attempted second-degree murder, and two counts of criminal discharge of a firearm.

Prouse was with Macormac and the victims on the night of the shooting.
