Rural Nashua man dead after ATV accident

NASHUA — A Nashua man is dead after an all-terrain vehicle rolled onto him on Tuesday afternoon.

The Iowa State Patrol says 77-year-old Larry Moine was igniting some grass fires on his property adjacent to a railroad right of way south of Nashua. When he tried to re-enter his property along a steep embankment, the ATV rolled onto him.

Moine was taken to the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City, where he was pronounced dead.
