Mississippi Woman Arrested in Memphis Burning Car Murder Case

Mississippi Woman Charged in Memphis Murder Case Following Discovery of Burned Body

In July, 20-year-old Tameria Clark from Mississippi was arrested in connection with the death of Jaderius Webb, also 20. Webb’s body was discovered in a burned vehicle at a Memphis impound lot. Clark faces multiple charges, including arson, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with evidence, as authorities continue to investigate the case.

The incident unfolded when the Memphis Police and Fire Departments responded to a vehicle fire on Weaver Road and Tully Road. Upon arrival, they found a black 2004 BMW 545i engulfed in flames. Two days later, officers conducting an inventory of the damaged vehicles at the impound lot discovered a severely burned body in the car’s backseat. The remains were later identified as Webb.

Webb had been reported missing by his father on the same day the car fire occurred. Following weeks of investigation, including interviews and analysis of social media activity, authorities identified Clark as a suspect. A search warrant executed at Clark’s residence led to the discovery of a GMC Terrain believed to be connected to the case.

Additional evidence surfaced from a video posted on social media on July 20, showing Clark at a party, where she appeared visibly upset. Witnesses reported that she confessed to doing something that would “send her to jail.” According to reports, Clark admitted at the party that a man had been killed in her home, leaving her to clean up the scene. She also allegedly confessed to burning the body.

Clark was subsequently identified in a six-person photo lineup and arrested. She is currently being held on a $500,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court today.
