Earthquake in Oklahoma shakes residents in Northwest Arkansas

Residents in Northwest Arkansas said they felt a 2.86 magnitude earthquake in Quinton, Oklahoma, according to reports.

At approximately 10:20 a.m. on Thursday, the United States Geological Survey recorded an earthquake with a depth of 4.6 miles.

People have reported feeling the earthquake in the following areas:

    • Fayetteville, Ark
    • Canehill, Ark.
    • Broken Arrow, Okla.
    • Eufaula, Okla.
    • Watts, Okla.
    • Bonham, Texas

The USGS encourages members of the public who have experienced an earthquake to share their accounts online.
