Two Dead in Shooting Investigation at Kansas City Apartment Complex

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Authorities are continuing to investigate a shooting that left two people dead on Monday afternoon.

According to police speaking with KCTV5, officers responded to the scene at an apartment complex located in the 6000 block of Blue Hills Road. Upon arrival, they found a man dead in a vehicle parked outside the complex. A woman was transported to a nearby hospital but was later pronounced dead.

At this point, law enforcement has not determined the motive behind the shooting or whether there was any connection or residency status linking the man and woman to the apartment complex.

The Kansas City Police Department reported that no suspects have been identified. Officers are speaking with neighbors and reviewing surveillance footage to gather further information and determine if the incident was captured on video.
