Tupelo Police have apprehended a suspect linked to two felony shoplifting cases that occurred earlier this year.

The first incident took place on September 30 at Tupelo Vape Shop, followed by another at Cloud City Vape on October 7. After conducting an investigation, detectives identified 20-year-old Rashad Fryar from Ripley as the suspect. Authorities subsequently issued a warrant for his arrest.

Fryar was taken into custody on November 30 during a routine traffic stop by Tupelo Police. Following his arrest, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir set his bond at $10,000 during a December 2 court appearance. The case has now been forwarded to the Lee County Grand Jury for further proceedings.

Officials have noted that the investigation is still ongoing as they continue to gather details surrounding the incidents.
