A suspect involved in a pursuit that started in Warren County has been apprehended after crashing into a vehicle on Interstate 70 at Mid Rivers Mall Drive around 5 p.m. Sunday, according to authorities.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has reported that the pursuit originated in Warren County, but the reasons for the suspect fleeing a traffic stop remain unknown.

Unfortunately, the suspect vehicle eventually collided with another car in the eastbound lanes of the interstate in St. Charles County.

Fortunately, there were no injuries as a result of the crash, and the suspect quickly made a getaway on foot.

In response, both troopers and local law enforcement agencies sprang into action, conducting a thorough search of the surrounding area. Their efforts paid off, as they successfully located the suspect and promptly took them into custody.

A First Alert 4 crew is currently at the scene, and we will provide updates as soon as more details become available.
