Numerous injuries reported after shooting incident at party in Oktibbeha County

Several individuals sustain injuries following a shooting incident at a party in Oktibbeha County, Mississippi.

Early Saturday morning, the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Department received a report of shots fired at a large party located at 89 Shepard Road. Deputies promptly responded to the scene.

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies discovered multiple individuals who had sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car that was reversing.

According to authorities, the driver unintentionally hit the victims while trying to escape a shootout between party attendees at the scene.

A gunshot wounded an individual, resulting in their leg injury. They have been transported to UAB via airlift for medical treatment.
