Man Killed During PlayStation 5 Sale, Teen Arrested in Houston

An 18-year-old has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a man last month, which occurred during a transaction involving the sale of a PlayStation 5.

On November 24, Houston Police responded to a call about a shooting at a hotel room. Authorities discovered that the victim, 37-year-old Tyler McGinty, had sustained a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries four days later, according to police.

McGinty’s mother, Tammy Smith, told WLS-TV that her son had listed the gaming console for $350 and had gone to the hotel to complete the sale.

The suspect has been identified as 18-year-old Zavion Joshua Pabon. He faces charges of capital murder and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, according to the Houston Police Department. Jail records indicate Pabon was booked into custody last Thursday.

Tammy Smith expressed her outrage over the incident, saying, “Normal people don’t do this. This isn’t a normal person. This is a very, very bad individual.”
