A police officer from Louisiana, Missouri is facing charges after selling a service rifle and causing damage to a patrol car.

Louisiana Mayor assures residents of ongoing transparency regarding Officer Green’s arrest.

Pike County Sheriff’s Deputy David Carrol filed a probable cause statement stating that Louisiana’s Police Chief Josh Baker notified the Pike County Sheriff’s office on November 19th.

Chief Baker suspected that Officer Daylon Green had sold a department-issued service rifle without authorization for $1,000 to an individual in Bowling Green, Missouri on October 24th, 2024.

On November 14th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Pike County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into the theft and subsequent crash of a Louisiana patrol car, which had collided with several city traffic signs.

According to a witness, Officer Green was seen driving the patrol car into a stop sign before abandoning the vehicle. Subsequently, Officer Green arrived at the scene and informed investigators that the car had been stolen.

Furthermore, Officer Green actively participated in the investigation by conducting an interview with a juvenile suspect related to the case.
