John Fetterman Reminds Trump of Who Already Defeated Him in the Past

Despite calls from some within the party for him to step down following a lackluster performance in last month’s debate, Senator John Fetterman (D-Penn.) remains firmly in President Joe Biden’s corner. The debate raised concerns about Biden’s age, stamina, and cognitive health, but Fetterman remains supportive of the President.

In an interview with MSNBC’s Jen Psaki on Monday, he confidently stated that Biden is “going to be our guy. That’s my guy.” He also pointed out that Biden is the only candidate who has successfully defeated former President Donald Trump in an election.

“He said he’s betting on the guy who defeated him in 2020, and he’s confident that he’ll win again,” was his statement.

Fetterman spoke out against those who were pressuring Biden to drop out of the race.

He found it amusing and stated, “It cracks me up.” He further added, “It’s like I’m going to advise Tom Brady on how to hold harder in the pocket or something. I mean, it’s quite strange.”

During his campaign stops in Pennsylvania on Sunday, Fetterman mentioned spending time with Biden.

Fetterman recalled how Biden spent a day with him, describing it as a perfect one. The Vice President engaged in various unscripted and interactive events throughout the day, as recounted by Fetterman.

In a recent statement, the senator from Pennsylvania ridiculed the Republican Party for their unwavering support of Trump, despite his criminal conviction in New York and ongoing legal battles.

He remarked that it is peculiar how Republicans seem to be accepting of having a felon as their nominee and take pride in it, even going as far as to dress like him.

In 2022, Fetterman suffered a stroke while running for Senate, which raised concerns about his health. However, he has been vocal about supporting Biden since the debate and recently tweeted a message of encouragement on Sunday.
