Authorities are currently conducting an intense manhunt in search of the individuals responsible for the shooting of six men in the Bronx.

According to the police report, a pair of assailants rode a scooter and stopped at St. James Park before proceeding to climb a flight of stairs. Once they reached the top, they fired nine shots at a group of men who were standing under the scaffolding near 191st Street and Morris Avenue.

The incident occurred in the Fordham area at approximately 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

As Eyewitness News cameras were rolling, it was evident that a victim was being hurriedly transported into an ambulance to receive immediate medical attention.

The age range of the group of men is primarily in their 20s, with one member in his early 30s.

All of the men are currently recuperating at nearby hospitals after being shot in various parts of their bodies. Fortunately, each victim is expected to make a full recovery.

The suspected gunmen riding off on their moped were captured in a photo obtained by the police.

Assistant Chief Benjamin Gurley of the NYPD stated that efforts were being made to communicate with the victims of the incident, including those who were undergoing surgery and those who were not. He added that officers were posted throughout the hospital in an attempt to gather more information about the situation.

According to initial investigations, the shooting appears to be linked to drug-related activities that had taken place in the area before the incident.

The investigators were able to recover ten .9 mm shell casings and a single bullet fragment.

The 52nd Precinct has witnessed an increase in shooting incidents, with a total of 13 reported cases compared to the same period last year when only 10 incidents were recorded. This is according to the data provided by the NYPD.
