The victim was discovered lying on the ground, unresponsive, according to the police. Tragically, he passed away at the scene.
The Dallas police are currently investigating the shooting death of an individual that occurred just hours after the start of the new year.
Police received a call around 2:40 a.m. regarding an incident at the 2600 block of West Colorado Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive victim lying on the ground.
Officials said that Dallas Fire Rescue also arrived at the scene, and unfortunately, the victim passed away on-site.
The investigation is currently underway.
