A couple from Mississippi, who were discovered dead in their home shortly after Christmas, are believed to have been going through a divorce.

According to a statement given to WJTV, a CBS affiliate, French mentioned that the investigation is still ongoing. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has provided assistance in processing the scene along with the Crime Scene Unit.

According to Faye Lott, a close friend of Jennifer, she revealed to WLBT, a local NBC affiliate, that the couple had recently decided to separate and were in the midst of getting a divorce. Although the specific reason for their separation was not disclosed, Lott expressed her disbelief and shock regarding Brandon’s alleged actions.

“She said he had never displayed any violent tendencies, at least not to her knowledge. She was present when they first met, and she admired the way he loved her. It is difficult for her to comprehend something that will forever remain a mystery. She also described him as an incredible individual.”

Jennifer and her partner were the parents of two children, as stated in her obituary. However, no information was provided regarding the children’s whereabouts at the time of their parents’ tragic murder-suicide.
