A tragic incident occurred in east Wichita on Saturday night when a man lost his life after running a red light and colliding with another vehicle.
At around 10:38 p.m., officers responded to a traffic crash report at the intersection of Kellogg and Rock Road, according to the police.
The initial findings suggest that the person who passed away was driving towards the south on Rock Road when their vehicle collided with another vehicle heading west on Kellogg’s access road.
The driver of the second vehicle, along with two passengers, suffered only minor injuries.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident to establish the contributing factors that resulted in the crash.
The police will not release the name of the deceased until they have informed the next of kin.
