Serious injury sustained in stabbing incident outside Lord’s Diner in downtown Wichita

A stabbing incident occurred outside the Lord’s Diner in downtown Wichita on Sunday, leaving a 20-year-old man in critical condition.

The victim was rushed to a local hospital and underwent surgery, according to Wichita Police Department spokesperson Juan Rebolledo.

Officer Rebolledo stated in a release that the stabbing incident was a result of a verbal argument between the victim and a 35-year-old suspect. The officers’ prompt response led to the arrest of the suspect in the nearby area shortly after the incident.

The suspect in custody has been identified as Coty James Bullock, according to jail records. Rebolledo confirmed that he was arrested on charges of attempted murder.

According to police, both the suspect and the victim are individuals without permanent housing, as reported by KAKE News on Sunday.
