NASHUA — Another north-central Iowa school district has had to place their football season on hold due to the coronavirus. Nashua-Plainfield superintendent Keith Turner in a letter to staff, students and parents says the district has been informed of a positive case within the school’s football program, and as a result, all football activities will be stopped immediately until further public health guidance is received. Turner says all high school football athletes, managers, and coaches are required to stay  home from school until further notice, and that there would be no morning athletic practices today for middle school and high school sports and no high school football practice. Turner says the district will share more information concerning the situation, require procedures for affected individuals, and procedural safeguards for school and extracurricular activities as soon as it is received. Nashua-Plainfield is scheduled to play Central Springs on Friday night.

Allen says their focus in the off season has been what it takes to win the close games.
