With the Associated Press announcement, Linderbaum gains consensus All-America status by being selected first team by the Walter Camp Foundation, the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) and Associated Press. Linderbaum becomes the 28th Hawkeye to earn consensus All-America status. Iowa football has had a consensus All-American in three straight seasons for the first time in program history.

AMES — Iowa State running back Breece Hall was named a first-team AP All-American as well on Monday, while junior defensive end Will McDonald IV was named to the AP third-team. Hall led the nation in scoring, total touchdowns and rushing touchdowns and was fifth nationally in rushing yards per game. CEDAR FALLS — The Northern Iowa men return to action tonight by hosting Jackson State. The Panthers are 2-5 and have not played since a December 5th loss at home to Richmond.

That’s UNI coach Ben Jacobson who says he is still trying to find the correct rotations.

Jackson State is coming off a Sunday loss at Iowa State.

Jacobson says Jackson State played well defensively in Ames.

Tipoff at the McLeod Center is scheduled for 7 o’clock tonight.
