Trooper Accused of Trespassing and Official Oppression in East Texas Case

A state trooper is facing charges of official oppression after allegedly breaking into a home in East Texas and demanding to see a young girl, according to authorities.

The incident occurred in the early hours of December 1, when a Henderson County deputy was dispatched to CR 2507 around 3:15 a.m. in response to a burglary report, as detailed in an affidavit. A witness at the scene reported that a man wearing a gray hoodie approached the door, displayed a badge, and claimed to be a state trooper while demanding to know the whereabouts of the witness’s niece.

The affidavit states that the man, identified as 34-year-old Jacob Joseph McKeon from Seven Points, allegedly forced his way into the home, pushing past the witness in his search for the girl. Reports claim that McKeon entered the witness’s parents’ bedroom, woke them up, and yelled, “Wake up. I’m the law, and you’re going to jail.”

The mother in the home reportedly woke to find McKeon—whom she did not recognize—standing in her bedroom. She told authorities that she demanded he leave her house, but he refused and continued yelling obscenities.

McKeon, who is stationed in Ellis County as a state trooper, was arrested and booked into the Henderson County Jail on charges of official oppression and criminal trespass. Authorities reported that he posted a $60,000 bond and was released the same day.
