MIAMI (AP) — Jose Berrios struck out a season-high 11 in seven innings and the Minnesota Twins hit three homers in a 7-4 win over the Miami Marlins. Max Kepler hit his 29th homer of the season, Mitch Garver added a three-run shot and Eddie Rosario had a two-run home run as the Twins won for the fifth time in six games.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Twins will rely on a largely familiar roster for the stretch run with the exception of a couple of potentially valuable additions to the bullpen. Four days after acquiring Sergio Romo, the Twins got another veteran right-handed reliever in Sam Dyson with a deadline-beating deal with San Francisco. The Twins sent three minor leaguers to the Giants.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Supreme Court has dismissed former Vikings defensive lineman Al Noga’s claim that his dementia is related to concussions he suffered during his NFL career. In a unanimous decision, the high court threw out Noga’s workers’ compensation award. The court says the Vikings’ treatment of Noga’s headaches with over-the-counter medicines was sufficient and that his 2015 claim came too late. Noga played for the Vikings from 1988-1992.
