Three north-central Iowa housing projects get a total of $2.3 million in tax credits

DES MOINES — Three north-central Iowa housing projects will be receiving a total of over $2.3 million in tax credits as part of a state program to develop new housing initiatives across the state.
59 housing projects were awarded a total of $38 million in workforce housing tax credits that are expected to create more than 2000 residential units.
The Iowa Economic Development Authority received 107 applications for the Workforce Housing Tax Credit program, which has a focus on projects that redevelop abandoned, empty or dilapidated properties.
The three area projects receiving tax credit rewards are:
== The Delaware LLC in Mason City will be getting a total tax credit of $1 million for their 36-unit project called “The Delaware”
== BAM Development LLC will be getting a total tax credit of $1 million for the 30-unit Emerald Place Development in Clear Lake
== Echo Development Group LLC will be getting a total tax credit of $351,210 for a 10-unit multi-family project in Garner
