Three arrested on drug-related charges after traffic stop, search of Mason City home
MASON CITY — Three Mason City people are under arrest on drug charges after a traffic stop leads to a search warrant being executed at a home.
The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department says they stopped 42-year-old Angela Rasmussen in a stolen vehicle at about 3:25 Tuesday afternoon . Rasmussen was charged with operating without the owner’s consent, possession of methamphetamine, driving under suspension, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A subsequent search warrant was executed at 320 24th Southwest. 32-year-old Rusty Kopps was arrested on a parole violation related to drugs while 46-year-old Mark Torres was arrested for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
Other subjects were located at the residence and more charges are pending as the case is still under investigation.
