Teen Among Robbery Crew That Targeted Victims on Chicago’s Red Line

A 15-year-old male was identified as a member of a robbery gang that targeted three individuals on the Red Line train, according to police reports released this week.

The incident occurred around 10:52 p.m. on December 29, when multiple victims were robbed by at least four individuals while traveling on the train. Among those victimized were a 15-year-old boy, a 17-year-old boy, and an 18-year-old man at the 95th Street station.

Earlier this year, prosecutors charged 20-year-old Jemaal Muhammad in connection with the robbery of the 15-year-old. He is also alleged to have robbed a 44-year-old man shortly afterward at the 79th Street station, reportedly suggesting he was armed during the incidents.

Muhammad was apprehended the day after Chicago police released surveillance footages showing four suspects linked to these robberies.
