Severe Rainfall and Thunderstorms Expected in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi

On Thursday, a new wave of cold air will sweep in, further intensifying the icy conditions that persist in the Northeast. Anticipate powerful gusts, intermittent rain, and a sprinkle of light snow as this system arrives, with the potential to produce substantial winds.

Persistent chilly to cold temperatures are expected this weekend, creating the perfect conditions for an approaching storm system. This system has the potential to bring freezing rain or snow starting from Monday and continuing through Tuesday.

A noticeable cold spell has persisted in different areas, making its way even into the Southeast. Tonight and into tomorrow morning, frost and freezing conditions are once again predicted to impact areas in Georgia and Florida.

South-central Florida, Georgia, and certain parts of north Florida appear to be experiencing the brunt of the chilly temperatures. However, there is a glimmer of hope as temperatures are expected to rise and bring about a much more pleasant weekend ahead.

As energy from the Gulf of Mexico arrives at the coastline, we are experiencing a much-needed downpour in the southernmost part of Texas. Keep a watchful eye for thunderstorms and periods of heavy rain that will move across the region before gradually shifting towards the northeast and north.

Thunderstorms and heavy showers are expected to develop in areas like Houston and Dallas in the coming days as the energy shifts back towards the Gulf Coast. These weather conditions will then advance into Louisiana and Mississippi.

Be on the lookout for possible severe weather conditions on Wednesday and Thursday. There is a chance of experiencing hail, lightning, heavy rainfall, and strong winds that could cause local damage. Coastal areas may also see an increased risk of waterspouts. Stay alert and take necessary precautions.

Here’s what to expect for the NYC Metro area.

Expect more sunshine and temperatures nearing 40 degrees tomorrow as the day remains bright and chilly, with the winds calming down. It’s the perfect time to venture out to the peaks, especially if you’re in your late 30s.

Wednesday’s weather will bring a blend of conditions, transitioning from sunny skies in the morning to a gradual increase in cloud cover throughout the day. Temperatures are expected to climb close to 40 degrees once again.

Temperatures are expected to drop as we approach our upcoming system on Thursday. Blustery winds in the mid-40s will accompany the falling temperatures. While most of the activity is predicted to occur inland, there may be occasional showers throughout the day.

Friday’s weather is expected to be blustery and cold, with temperatures reaching only the mid-30s at best.

Saturday afternoon is expected to see a minor disturbance, which may bring a few scattered snowflakes. Temperatures will range between the upper 30s and surpass 40 degrees.

Sunday will bring a delightful combination of a refreshing breeze, abundant sunshine, and temperatures reaching nearly 40 degrees. It will be a pleasantly cool day to enjoy the outdoors.
