Not guilty pleas from three men charged with Mason City stabbings, robbery
MASON CITY — Three Belmond men charged with robbery and willful injury after an April stabbing incident in Mason City have pleaded not guilty.
18-year-old Jaden Edel, 17-year-old Dominic Fogarty, and 17-year-old David Gordon were charged after two victims were stabbed multiple times on April 1st in the 200 block of 15th Northeast. All three were charged with first-degree robbery and filed pleas of not guilty in Cerro Gordo County District Court.
Edel has demanded a speedy trial and a trial date has not yet been set. Fogarty has waived his right to a speedy trial with a motion being made to move his case to juvenile court. Gordon has pleaded not guilty and waived his right to a speedy trial, with a trial tentatively scheduled to start on August 24.
First-degree robbery is a Class B felony, punishable by up to 25 years in prison.
