ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Byron Buxton launched a two-run home run into the second deck beyond left field eight pitches into the game and Kenta Maeda earned his first win since May 3 as the Minnesota Twins beat the reeling Texas Rangers 4-2 Sunday for their fourth straight win to match a season high. Maeda allowed two runs on five hits in five and one-third innings. Adolis Garcia and Joey Gallo hit back-to-back homers in the sixth inning for the Rangers, who have lost six straight games and 19 of their last 22.

KANSAS CITY — Former Iowa standout Anthony Hitchens says the Kansas City Chiefs defense is focused on red zone play. Hitchens is preparing for his fourth season in Kansas City as the Chiefs look to bounce back from a Super Bowl loss to Tampa Bay.

Hitchens says they need to make teams settle for more field goals.

As he gets ready for his eighth season in the NFL, Hitchens is taking on more of a leadership role.

IOWA CITY — The Iowa women’s basketball team will head back to the Cancun Challenge next season. Iowa, who is 7-2 all-time at the tournament including the 2013 tournament title, will compete in the Riviera Division against Seton Hall on Nov. 25 at 3 p.m. (CT) and USC on Nov.26 at 5:30 p.m. (CT).
