Mitchell County authorities asking for public’s help in trying to identify human remains
MITCHELL, IOWA — Authorities are asking for the public’s help as they try to identify human remains that were found last week in Mitchell County.
Authorities say the remains were found near the Greenbelt Trail near the town of Mitchell last Monday. Authorities say further investigation is continuing with the assistance of the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, and the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
It was also stressed that authorities have ruled out any connection with the 1995 disappearance of Jodi Huisentruit from Mason City.
