Mason City Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign has raised $5000 so far

MASON CITY — The Mason City Salvation Army Christmas Kettle campaign is continuing through the area.

Major Geoff Crowell says donations are slowly coming in.   “The last solid number I have is from the 26th and we were at around $5000. Our goal is $97,000, so we are still a ways off.”

Crowell says there are many ways to donate, not just at one of the kettle sites. “We have online kettles where they can give. You go to masoncityredkettle.org. It’s completely safe and encrypted. You can donate by calling the office 641-424-4031.”

Crowell says they are also looking for more people to man kettle sites throughout the campaign.
