Mason City police ask for public’s help after shooting injures one

MASON CITY — Mason City police are asking for the public’s help after a shooting late last month.

The Mason City Police Department in a statement released on Tuesday says the incident happened at about 1 o’clock on the morning of February 28th with officers responding in the area of 1st and South Delaware. Officers located evidence at the scene consistent with a shooting as well as witnesses to the incident.

A short time later police say a 26-year-old man arrived at the hospital by private vehicle suffering from at least two gunshot wounds. The victim is still hospitalized and is currently in stable condition.
