MASON CITY — Mason City mayor Bill Schickel will give the annual “State of the City” report as part of the City Council meeting tonight.
By city code, the mayor is required to report to the council and the city about the municipal affairs of the city and recommend the adoption of measures that he sees advisable.
Schickel says he’ll not only be reporting on the city’s accomplishments in 2023 and looking ahead to 2024, but he’ll also recognize city employees. “I’m calling it a celebration of River City. It’s also a chance for me to thank our outstanding staff and my colleagues on the City Council for all their great work in the last year.”
Tonight’s council meeting starts at 7 o’clock in the Mason City Room of the Public Library.
