Mason City man sentenced on federal firearms charge
MASON CITY — It’s nearly two years in prison for a Mason City man who pleaded guilty to a federal firearms charge.
46-year-old Brett Wetter pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a firearm by a drug user. In a plea agreement with prosecutors, Wetter admitted that he possessed ten guns while being a methamphetamine user.
US District Judge Leonard Strand recently sentenced Wetter to 21 months in prison to be followed by a three-year term of supervised release.
