Mason City man accused of stabbing roommate

MASON CITY — A Mason City man is in jail after being accused of stabbing his roommate on Tuesday night. 

A criminal complaint filed this morning in Cerro Gordo County District Court accuses 30-year-old Felix Hernandez of stabbing his roommate in the stomach causing serious injury at their home in the 300 block of 2nd Street Northwest at about 11 o’clock Tuesday night.

Hernandez has been charged with one count of willful injury causing serious injury, a Class C felony punishable by up to ten years in prison. Court records did not immediately list an initial court date.

He’s being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on $10,000 bond.
