In Galveston, a lineman who was working on power restoration has been arrested for allegedly assaulting another lineman.

According to the Galveston Police Department, a man was found lying on the sidewalk in the 3100 block of Seawall Blvd at around 1:15 a.m. on Monday. The police were immediately notified and arrived at the scene.

Upon arrival, the officers discovered a man who had been repeatedly struck, resulting in injuries to his head and face. The victim was immediately transported to UTMB and is currently in critical condition.

On Tuesday morning, authorities made an arrest in League City related to the ongoing investigation. Detectives were able to gather leads, leading to the arrest of Trevor Tedore, 24, from Sugar Land.

The Galveston County Jail has officially booked Tedore and he is facing charges of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury. His bond has been set at $200,000.

According to the authorities, Tedore and the victim were both linemen who were carrying out power line repairs in Galveston after Hurricane Beryl. They were staying at a nearby hotel during their assignment. The police also revealed that the two individuals were colleagues who knew each other from working for the same company.

The authorities have not yet revealed the name of the victim.
