<p><strong>Legendary jockey Frankie Dettori has landed a role as global ambassador for leading betting platform Stake.</strong></p>
<p>Dettori, 54 is widely regarded as one of the greatest riders of all-time and enjoyed a decorated career in Europe from 1987 to 2023 &#8211; winning 23 British Classics and a total of 287 Group 1 races to date.</p>
<p>In December 2022, the Italian announced he would be retiring at the end of the following season but the next October he changed his mind and moved to California to pursue a new venture in the United States and on the international circuit.</p>

<p>Dettori&#8217;s success saw him become a pop culture icon in Europe and attracted eyes to horse racing that never would have glanced towards the sport before.</p>
<p>At the peak of his fame he presented on national TV in Britain, featured on reality shows, created his own range of Italian-style foods and opened a chain of restaurants in London.</p>
<p>On Santa Anita Derby Day last year, Dettori rode six consecutive winners which came at cumulative odds of more than 77,000-1.</p>
<p>In September 1996 at the British Festival of Racing, Dettori birthed the &#8216;magnificent seven&#8217; as he won all seven races on the card at combined odds of 25,095-1 &#8211; costing the betting industry around £40 million.</p>
