Iowa Property Tax Credit forms due May 31st

MASON CITY — The Cerro Gordo County Treasurer’s office is reminding elderly and disabled taxpayers that they need to return their Iowa Property Tax Credit forms by the end of the month.

Taxpayers age 65 or older as of December 31st 2017, or taxpayers at least 18 years of age and totally disabled as of the end of last year may qualify for property tax credits if their income from all sources is below $22,855 for calendar year 2017.

Property tax credit forms are available in the treasurer’s office, on the county’s website at, the statewide treasurers’ website at, or at the Iowa Department of Revenue website at
