CLEAR LAKE — Clear Lake looks to wrap up the regular season with a victory as they host Roland-Story tonight in a Class 2A District 3 contest. The Lions are 1-5 overall and 0-4 in district play after losing their last five games by a combined 13 points. While this will be the first time Clear Lake has faced Roland-Story in football, the Lions are no strangers to their coach Matt Finn, who took over the job there after coaching at Osage. Clear Lake coach Jared DeVries says the Lions will see some of the same things offensively out of Roland-Story.

DeVries says he wants his team to clean up some of the issues that have hampered them in the last few weeks.

Kickoff tonight at Lions Field is scheduled for 7:30. You can hear the Clear Lake/Roland-Story game on AM-1490/96.7-FM KRIB and kribam.com starting with the pre-game at 6:45. You can also watch the game on the NFHS Network by heading to kribam.com or kglonews.com

MASON CITY — Mason City High hits the road as they will face Ballard of Huxley in a game to be played in Gilbert. The Mohawks are 2-2 after back-to-back district losses to Webster City and Humboldt and now face a 5-1 Ballard team that has won three games since falling to Webster City in the district opener. Mohawk coach John Lee.

Tonight’s game is being played in Gilbert due to damage suffered by August’s derecho at Ballard High School. You can hear the Mason City-Ballard game on AM-1300 KGLO and kgloam.com starting with the pre-game shortly after 7 o’clock tonight with the kickoff slated for 7:30.

NASHUA — Newman hits the road to take on Nashua-Plainfield in a Class A District 3 game. The Knights will try to rebound from a 44-34 loss last week to 2nd-ranked St. Ansgar. Nashua-Plainfield is 1-5 on the season having lost four straight, including a 27-12 loss to North Butler last week. You can hear the Newman/Nashua-Plainfield game on 93.9 KIA The Country Moose starting with the pre-game at 6:45 with the kickoff slated for 7 o’clock.
