NEW HAMPTON — The district title is on the line tonight in Class 2A District 3 when Clear Lake travels over to New Hampton. The Lions are 4-0 in district play, while New Hampton and Osage are 3-1. Wins by the Chickasaws and the Green Devils would create a three-way tie for the district championship, with point differential then determining who receives the top two spots in the district and home games in next week’s opening round of the post-season. Lions coach Jared DeVries says his team wants to capture the district title tonight.

DeVries says New Hampton always presents a challenge for Clear Lake

You can hear the Clear Lake-New Hampton game tonight on AM-1490/96.7-FM KRIB and kribam.com tonight starting with the pre-game at 6:45 with kickoff slated for 7:30

ARMSTRONG — Newman travels to North Union in a Class A District 2 contest that will also have a bearing on the playoffs. While #1 West Hancock and #4 North Butler are 5-0 and face off against each other tonight, Newman sits at 3-2 in district play, with North Union and St. Ansgar at 2-3 and Lake Mills at 2-4. You can hear the Newman-North Union game on 93.9 The Country Moose and 939kia.com starting with the pre-game at 6:45 with the kickoff slated for 7 o’clock.

BRITT — #1 West Hancock hosts #4 North Butler in a collision of ranked teams tonight in Class A District 2. North Butler is 7-0 after posting a 5-21 record over the past three seasons.

West Hancock is also undefeated at 7-0 and 5-0 in the district.
