EVANSTON, ILLINOIS — Iowa linebacker Jestin Jacobs says the Hawkeye defense will face a physical challenge Saturday night with a visit to Northwestern. Wildcat sophomore running back Evan Hull is averaging six and-a-half yards per carry.

Jacobs says the Hawkeyes had no problem bouncing back from the loss at Wisconsin.

Kickoff in Evanston is scheduled for shortly after 6 o’clock with the pre-game starting at 4 o’clock Saturday on AM-1300 KGLO.

 

 

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Every available player on the No. 9 ranked University of Iowa Women’s Basketball Team scored in their 102-32 exhibition win against Truman State inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Thursday night, as you heard on AM-1300 KGLO. Junior McKenna Warnock recorded a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. All-American Caitlin Clark tallied 25 points to lead the team and was one assist and two rebounds away from recording a triple-double. Freshman Addison O’Grady tallied 19 points and six rebounds in her collegiate debut. Iowa hosts New Hampshire on Tuesday evening in their season opener.

 

 

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State scored the first eight points and never looked back Thursday as the Cyclones beat Wisconsin-River Falls 99-41 in a women’s basketball exhibition at Hilton Coliseum. Emily Ryan led five Cyclones in double figures with a game-high 22 points. Nyamer Diew and Lexi Donarski each had 17 points, while Denae Fritz has 12. Izzi Zingaro had a double-double off the bench with 11 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. Ryan added a game-high seven assists. Iowa State opens the season on Tuesday against Omaha.
