LAWRENCE — After several near misses in Big 12 play Iowa State was no match for Kansas. The Jayhawks outscored the Cyclones 58-37 in the second half in a 97-64 win. ISU is 0-10 in conference play.

That’s Iowa State coach Steve Prohm who felt his team had made a lot of progress in the past week.

It will be a quick turnaround as the Cyclones host Kansas in a rematch on Saturday.

Jalen Coleman-Lands led the Cyclones with 20 points.

LINCOLN — Freshman Caitlin Clark had a season-high 39 points and added 10 rebounds as the Iowa Hawkeye women won at Nebraska 88-81 as the Hawks snapped a two game losing streak.

That’s coach Lisa Bluder. Iowa held off a furious Nebraska rally that saw the Huskers slice a 17 point Hawkeye lead to four late in the contest.

Mason City native Megan Meyer played eight-and-a-half minutes for the Hawkeyes but did not score. Iowa is now 7-6 in the Big Ten.
