Filing for county offices to be filled in 2024 primary election starts today

MASON CITY — Today is the first day for candidates seeking county offices to be filled in the 2024 primary election to file their nomination papers.

In Cerro Gordo County, four county elected positions will be on the ballot with the Sheriff and Auditor positions as well as the District 1 and District 3 seats on the Board of Supervisors.

Persons interested in running for any of those offices should contact the county auditor for nomination forms and information on signature and filing requirements. The last day to file is Friday March 22nd.
