Expect colder air on Thursday and warmer temperatures this weekend

The weather in Kansas has been unusually warm today, with temperatures rising by 10 to 15 degrees in Central and Eastern parts of the state. However, there has been a slight decrease in temperatures compared to yesterday in the western regions.

The cozy warmth will be abruptly interrupted by an approaching wave of cold air. As night falls, temperatures will plummet below the freezing point.

Temperatures on Thursday will struggle to rise significantly, reaching only the 30s to the 40s. However, Elkhart, being closer to the source of warm air, will experience slightly higher temperatures in the 50s. The weather will feature a clear sky, as high pressure dominates and moves towards the north and east.

Starting on Friday, the wind flow will bring in a warmer stretch of weather that will continue through Sunday. If you’re in areas to the south and east, you may notice a milky appearance in the sky this weekend. This is due to the presence of upper-level clouds associated with a rainy system developing to our south.

There is a possibility of a few rain showers in Southeast Kansas on Sunday, although a cold front from the northwest will redirect them away. This cold front will bring in cooler temperatures next week, with highs in the 40s and lower 50s on Monday, and more widespread 30s and 40s by Tuesday. However, temperatures will begin to rise later in the week, reaching the 40s and 50s.

There is a chance of rain and snow showers expected from Monday to Tuesday, although the exact track, timing, and amount of moisture are still uncertain. Based on current projections, this system is not expected to have a significant impact on us, as the majority of the moisture is likely to bypass our area.

The storm system is expected to develop further, which will result in better cohesion of rain and snow once it moves away from our region. It is unlikely that we will see any significant precipitation until the middle of December.

The weather forecast for Wichita, according to KSN Storm Track 3 and Chief Meteorologist Lisa Teachman, is as follows:

Tonight, expect mostly clear skies with a low temperature of 25 degrees. The wind will be coming from the northwest to northeast at a speed of 5 to 15 mph.

Tomorrow, the weather will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy, with a high temperature of 37 degrees. The wind will be from the northeast to southeast at a speed of 5 to 15 mph.

Tomorrow night, there will be a mix of partly cloudy and mostly clear skies, with a low temperature of 23 degrees. The wind will be coming from the southeast to south at a speed of 5 to 15 mph.

The weather forecast for Wichita Weekly is as follows:
– Friday: Mostly sunny and breezy, with a high of 47 and a low of 30.
– Saturday: Partly cloudy and breezy, with a high of 57 and a low of 40.
– Sunday: Partly cloudy and windy, with a high of 59 and a low of 37.
– Monday: Partly to mostly cloudy and breezy, with a high of 50 and a low of 28.
– Tuesday: Mostly to partly cloudy and breezy, with a 10% chance of rain and snow. High of 42 and a low of 24.
– Wednesday: Mostly sunny and breezy, with a high of 45 and a low of 27.
